Champion Christian College is excited to welcome Joshua Oglesby! Mr. Oglesby is joining Champion this fall as our Assistant Director of Recruitment as well as an assistant within the student services department.

Mr. Oglesby brings an extensive education background to this position. After graduating with honors from Jefferson Forest High School in 2018, he attended both the Bible Institute of Los Angeles and Liberty University before graduating this year from Champion Christian College with a Bachelor of Arts in church ministries (intercultural studies).

More impressive than his educational abilities, however, is his ministry experience. He has served in evangelism and outreach since 2018, when he taught for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes as well as conducted street evangelism on Hollywood Boulevard. Since then, he has served on the mission field in Angola and Thailand; ministered as a camp pastor at Camp Hydaway; and interned for mission work at Bellevue Baptist Church. These multifaceted ministry experiences—from indigenous outreach and prison ministry to camp chaplaincy and sports evangelism—give him a dynamic passion for reaching the next generation with the gospel.

The theme of his life, says Mr. Oglesby, is Galatians 2:20: “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” He describes himself as “galvanized by grace” and “liberated by love,” which in turn compels him to act as “an illustrator of love, an elucidator of beauty, and a communicator of truth.” We are so excited to have Joshua Oglesby as a member of our Champion family, and we look forward to seeing how God will use him in the lives of our students!
