Champion Christian College Welcomes Sam Koleduk as Head Men’s and Women’s Soccer Coach

Sam Koleduk will be entering his first season as the Head Men’s and Women’s Soccer Coach at Champion Christian College. Koleduk will begin recruiting immediately and preparing for the 2025 season.

Koleduk’s most recent stop has been as the Head Boys’ Varsity Soccer Coach at Sunlake High School. Over the past 12 seasons, Koleduk led the Seahawks to a 276-34-21 record and has over 450 career high school wins. His teams have made 4 FHSAA State Final Four appearances, 4 FHSAA State Elite-8 appearances along with winning 6 straight District Championships. Koleduk has coached 2 Florida Dairy High School Players of the Year as well as helping numerous players onto the college ranks. He also coached 3 players who finished with over 100 career goals and many All-Conference players. During this span Koleduk was named, SAC Coach of the Year, St Pete Times Coach of the Year, Tampa Tribune Coach of the Year and All North Suncoast Coach of the Year.

During this time, Koleduk was also the Head Men’s Soccer Coach at Johnson University Florida. He took over a team that was winless (0-13) the year before his arrival and in his first season Koleduk led the team to a school record for wins and a 9-5-2 overall record. The team advanced to the Semi-Finals of the NCCAA South Regional before losing to the eventual National Champion.

Prior to stops at Sunlake High School and Johnson University, Koleduk was the Head Men’s Soccer Coach at Cincinnati Christian University. He led the Eagles to a 42-5 overall record. This included 2 NCCAA National Championship Final Four appearances and a National Championship Runner-Up finish. During his tenure he was named NSCAA National College Coach of the Year, Mid-East Region Coach of the Year and his teams produced 7 All-Americans and The NSCAA National Player of the Year.

Koleduk was also the Head Women’s Soccer Coach at Cincinnati Christian University and posted a 13-4-1 record. He led the Lady Eagles to the NCCAA National Championship Final Four, was named Mid-East Region Coach of the Year and his team produced 3 All-Americans.

After an outstanding college and professional playing career, Koleduk got his first Head Coaching position at his Alma Mater Gulf High School. He led the Buccaneers to over 100 wins and multiple FHSAA Florida State Playoff appearances. During this time, he was named SAC Coach of the Year, St Pete Times Coach of the Year and Tampa Tribune Coach of the Year.

  • First Saint Leo University player drafted to play professional soccer

Koleduk attended Saint Leo University on a soccer scholarship and holds a State of Florida K-12 Coaching Education Certificate, NSCAA National Youth Coaching Diploma and an Advanced Regional Coaching Diploma. He is happily married to his best friend and high school sweetheart Kearney Moon Koleduk. The couple is very excited about relocating to Hot Springs and joining the Champion Christian College family.   • Champion Christian College is adding women’s soccer this coming year.

  • Coach Koleduk will start recruiting immediately for both men’s and women’s soccer teams. He will be scouting at club soccer tournaments, national showcases and at high school soccer games and tournaments.
  • We plan on being competitive and competing for National Championships for many years to come. We will be recruiting high character individuals who fit our Champion Christian College mission.
  • Our recruiting philosophy is based on 3 core principles- Christian, Academics and Soccer.
  • We will hold several recruit prospective ID Soccer Camps during Spring Semester.
  • We are looking to add quality incoming freshman, college transfers and international students.
  • The goal is to have a roster size of 25-30 for the men’s team and 15-20 for the women’s team.
