Teaching and Training Servant Leaders to be the next generation of world changers!

Dual Language B.A. Track - Portuguese & English

The Bachelor of Arts in Church Ministries - Dual Language Track is an avenue into the B.A. program that has specific parameters.  It consists of a clear set of courses offered each semester into which every student would be enrolled, with a few options for online courses when needed and as permitted by the Academic Office.  This is an in-person track which includes intensive meetings each semester (times to be announced), and full online access to the student's courses. The courses are offered primarily in Portuguese throughout this track, with translation into English available for those who are not Portuguese speakers. Parallel English language courses are included in the track in order to prepare students for required courses which will only be available in the English language (ex. English Composition I and II). Questions? Contact DLINFO@champion.edu.

International Students Applying to the Dual Language Track in Portuguese and English (DL):

Submit the application at least 2 months prior to the semester start date in which the student wishes to enroll, unless the student is transferring from an institution already in the United States. Students transferring to Champion will need to complete the Transfer Eligibility Form.

This track requires attendance to concentrated in-person intensive classes as scheduled by Champion for each semester. The schedule for the intensive meeting will be confirmed directly to the students after acceptance into the B.A. Dual Language Track.

To apply, you will need the following documentation:

NOTE: If you do not have all the documents for the application, you are able to return to your application.

  • Passport# and Picture of the Passport Front Page with all critical information
  • Other form of ID (U.S. or from country of origin)
  • Financial Info – current copy of savings or checking account illustrating ability to pay
  • Financial Support Affidavit - signed by student and any financial supporter(s)
  • High School Transcript(s) – English translation and evaluation may be required. The sending institution will transmit the transcripts directly to admissions@champion.edu.

At the point the student is accepted into the DL Track, an I-20 document will be issued to the student in order to either obtain a first-time student visa abroad, to change to a student visa status (F-1) if already legally living in the US with a different type of visa, or to maintain a student status if transferring from another institution.

NOTE: Although English Proficiency is required to complete the Bachelor’s degree offered as DL, students who do not yet have proficiency in English will be enrolled in parallel courses to prepare for the successful completion of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), or a similar exam, in order to take courses that will only be available in English.
