Intramural Sports Announcement for Fall 2019

September 2019 – Champions, are you ready for some friendly competition?  We’re excited to announce the return of one of our favorite college activities—intramural sports!  This Champion tradition is the perfect way for students to enjoy some hard-earned fun after all that studying.  Even better, it promotes unity in our student body and helps our students build lasting friendships.

With new teams and expanded sports offerings, this season is slated to be our best yet!  All sports are held at our state-of-the-art Champion Community Center, with some games taking place on the beautiful new turf field!

The season kicked off with a bang on Tuesday, September 10.  A rousing game of flag football on the Champion turf field was well-attended by some fiercely competitive students.  Our Tigers basketball players were represented by two teams, captained by Demarkiyo Devoil and Parker Gravitt. A third team consisted of our men’s baseball players.  The baseball team took the lead from the beginning with a Hail Mary for a touchdown, and the momentum gained then was enough to secure them the night’s victory!
