At Champion, we believe that the challenging academic environment, opportunities for community outreach, and close-knit campus environment create a student experience that’s unparalleled. But don’t just take our word for it—hear the inside scoop from Champion junior, Chloe Capaci!
Describe your typical routine as a Champion student.
Since I have finished my general education classes, I have moved on to my focused major, which is elementary education. And I’m loving it! Most of my classes are hybrid classes, so I go to each class once per week. Because of that, I’m able to do my classes comfortably from home. I usually wake up, drink coffee, and do some homework. It’s been easy to do my work because I love what I’m learning about. When I was in volleyball, I would also attend volleyball practices or games every day.
What are your favorite classes and why?
My favorite classes this year were Teaching Adolescent Literature and Classroom Management. My teacher in Adolescent Literature, Mrs. Steiger, is an exceptional teacher. The way she teaches is how I would want to teach one day. I also liked Classroom Management because it taught me a lot of practical and necessary skills for the classroom.
What is your favorite aspect of Champion’s student life?
I love the many opportunities that there are to serve. I am able to serve in youth ministries, lead chapel worship, and be a part of the student council. Each group is a bunch of students who want to serve Champion.
What would you say to a student considering Champion for their college education?
To a student considering Champion, I would say that God is working on our campus. If you want to be a part of a close-knit family, this is home. If you want a great educational experience, Champion is where you’ll find it. And if you want to have a great college experience, join the Tiger family. You won’t regret it!
